Katharina Saghi
One of Katharina Saghi’s earliest childhood memories are of a collection of brightly colored plastic beads in the shape of fruits, ever since she has collected all sorts of beads.
Katharina joins a love for color and shape. Her jewelry designs are based on an understanding of color and texture combinations. She loves the process of the creating, from the hunt for that “perfect bead: to contemplating designs, sometimes for hours before incorporating just the right combination for her eye-catching one of kind designs. She wants her work to be evaluated on the basis of look rather the value of materials: thus she deliberately chooses to work with a combination of: Gemstones, freshwater pearls, vintage Lucite, brass, copper, vermeil, and sterling silver.
Her work is mostly sold via referrals to private clients, but can also be found at Galleria Tempest in Sacramento and Rafael’s in San Francisco.
She was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, after graduating with honors in retail distribution she set her sited on California. She resides in SanFrancisco, California with her two tuxedo cats Chantilly and Valentino.
